Description

The Emissary bridges the defensive and custom pistol worlds to offer shooters a pistol that makes for a bold and capable addition to the Springfield Armory family of 1911's. 

 

Combining forged steel construction for durability with a beautiful two-tone finish, the pistol is now available in a 5" model in 9mm as well as a 4.25" version in .45 ACP. Both pistols feature grenade-pattern checkering on their stainless steel grip frames and G10 grips, as well as a Tri-Top cut to their carbon steel slides, giving them custom-grade styling. In addition, a heavy-profile stainless steel forged bull barrel delivers maximum accuracy and reduces felt recoil.

 

The Emissary, in both the 5" 9mm and 4.25" .45 ACP versions, blends form and function seamlessly in a defensive-minded firearm loaded with custom-grade features.

Customer satisfaction is awesome

My review is not about this firearm because I haven’t shot it yet. Instead I want to tell everyone that Gunprime is by far the go to place to buy firearms.
When my gun arrived at the FFL they called me to let me know that the front sight was bent. I called Springfield Armory and they said no problem, all I had to do was send them the slide and they would fix the problem. However, there was a 6-8 week turnaround. So I called Gunprime and they said to ship it back to them and I would get a new replacement gun and they would deal with Springfield. So in less than 5 days my problem was solved.
Gunprime truly stands up for their customers and I’m already a repeat customer and intend to use them as my primary source for firearms.

I purchased this pistol as a concealed carry firearm. The pistol looks and feels amazing and conceals well. My only complaint is that it is very stiff and the slide seams to get hung up on the rails. The pistol is new so I'm guessing that after several rounds have been fired the slide will loosen up. I love the sights and the aggressive grip is a very nice touch.
Overall I m very happy with it.
